definitely do it at a salon!
i have black hair and i recently bleached it blonde and i spent 1400 hkd (like 180 usd?) on it and it was totally worth it because my stylist really took his time to bleach all my hair properly and used a softening product on my hair afterwards and now its silky smooth like you wouldnt believe!! my hair isnt naturally silky cus i have asian frizz but aaaaaa *touches hair*
which was completely different to when i dip-bleached it a year ago at home with gatsby products - it was super dry and i couldnt get it past a gingery brown and i had to use hair oil all the damn fucking time cus it was so fucking drY
i went to a toni&guy in hk so i'd definitely recommend you find one too in your area. the prices are pretty high but they do their best to make sure your hair stays healthy and all around gr8

I would actually recommend getting it bleached at a salon because they would know how to do it correctly, at least the first time you did it, but if you cant afford to get it bleached I would still go talk to a hair person about it. Bleach can be dangerous and if your not experienced you could hurt yourself ;w;
I dyed my hair this summer to a dark blue and I was happy because I didn't have to bleach it but for pastel colors you will have to sorry to say.
<-- (this was the color mine started off as and now it's hella faded but still that's about as light as you can go without bleaching it( i think.))
I wish you the best of luck!!

hey! (: if you're bleaching your hair, i'd strongly suggest going to a (good) hair stylist to bleach it for you!
otherwise if you decide to bleach it yourself, buy some bleach and also buy some olaplex!
olaplex will prevent your hair from frying or breaking from the bleach and will keep it healthy (:
when bleaching, id suggest only bleaching a bit and then buying purple shampoo to tone it
the purple shampoo will make it lighter blonde without having to bleach it more
as for the color, id suggest doing purple/lavender first! because when purple color fades,
it will actually fade your blonde to almost white! which will be a perfect canvas to dye it blue
afterwards without needing to re-lighten your hair (: id also suggest using the olaplex when
dying it purple to further prevent damage
Guy Tang is a youtuber and a very talented hair dresser! he uses olaplex often and gives
very good information ^-^here's his channel;
www.youtube.com/channel/UCjzof…
also if you f up your hair don't worry it won't be permanent xD
the olaplex will make your hair extremely healthy with just one use its a miracle product

ok so like im a cosmo student I LIVE FOR THESE QUESTIONS ASDFGH
LET ME TELL YOU WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE
( i also have a couple permanent clients who have me dye their hair purple SO )
first of all please dont bleach your hair at home if you dont want to change your hair significantly
i would say to not bleach your hair at home at all?? but everyone does it anyways u v u ;; bleaching hair at home usually always goes wrong because people dont know how to apply it the right way, don't know what volume to get, how long to leave it or how to check if its damaging your hair???
so im gonna skip the bleach and just go ahead and ask how light your hair is?
BCOS IF YOU WANT PURPLE HAIR YOU SHOULD TRY PRAVANA VIVIDS!!!!
pravana vivids is a color line that has all the pretty rainbow colors that everyone wants AND THEYRE HEALTHY FOR YOUR HAIR since they're made with a certain formula. they aren't permanent and its something you cold do at home because it's a stain, and once they've done their job/color they wont go any further and hurt your hair

Hey hey what's up I bleach my hair like every couple months haha. And I have super dark hair so I bleach the crap out of it and my hair is fine, it's still soft and only a little bit bad at the tips bit i chop that off every haircut. Umm I'd say you're going to be fine bleaching. Is your scalp sensitive? It will definitely itch and be a little uncomfortable at least so be wary. I recommend buying a lower toner with bleach, 20 should suffice, don't leave it in longer than 45 mins, and check it every like 15 because even 30 or 15 might be good for you! And buy some really good deep conditioning stuff for after. That's really all that matters. Oh coconut oil and argon oil do wonders on keeping your hair healthy with bleaches and dyes! Dye is honestly not a problem it's mostly the bleach..but yea if you have further questions feel free to ask. I've been doing my own hair for a couple years

I have very naturally dark brown hair, which I bleached to get red!
Natural;
Dyed;
The bleaching can be tough on your hair, so I don't recommend doing it often. I had to dye mine several times to get the bright red I wanted, but yours you would probably only have to do once, depending on how light your hair is/how light your color you want is! And by often, I mean like every few months. Which you may have to do as well, like I said, just depends on your hair color/how light the color you want is ;u;
However, a very nice shampoo made for repairing damage/moisturizing makes a huge difference!
TLDR; Get a good shampoo/conditioner.

if your nervous about how it would look you should start with a temporary dye,
i recommend you don't bleach it though, bleaching can hurt your hair and yeah.
I'd recommend dying it blonde if you want the purple to be more vibrant though

With bleaching there is a very high chance you will damage your hair.But it would be impossible to get lavender or mint blue with out bleaching. I would do your research and find a bleach that is right with your hair and follow the instructions carefully! I dye my hair constantly and usually it doesn't damage my hair unless I make a mistake.
Also Condition condition condition Even if you have oily hair this helps moisturize and keeps your hair healthy!

Hi hello
i have purple hair
i have ever done lavender, but if you have medium tone hair it shouldn't be that terrible on your hair. You have a right to make yo head look like what you want is your hair as short as it is depicted??

Yeah it's p short!! It'll probably get short because I need a nice haircut tbh
i don't mind bleaching as long as it doesn't fuck my hair up permanent?? I have no idea what effect bleach has I guess

whaa sorry I've been a bit busy!!
It all depends on how long you plan on keeping the purple in your hair. I personally have been doing it for roughly a year and it seems like our hair is the same length -- my hair isn't bad at all. Its not /completely/ healthy, but its not falling out. I have pree thick hair tho. I have been dying it (no bleach) for roughly three years. My natural hair colour is kinda blah.
either way, one time wont kill ya c:
Bleaching usually makes hair pree brittle if ya do it too much.
