Description i really hate my scanner. trying to take the magenta out of the photo while keeping the general contrast and brightness of the original print is a job for someone with more patience than i have. nevermind the dust that lives under the glass, for cleaning that up off the file after the fact is a completely separate but equally frustrating job. nonetheless, here it is, a holga shot... appearing almost as simple as it should be. something about that branch on the left. hmm.

whatever mistakes you thought happened here...i think it's perfect the way it is...it generates a sort of melancholic feel which i most like

The branch on the left seems essential to the shot, it blances the composition.
Great shot, well composed and so wonderfully soft.

this is really beautiful.
but scanners, any scanner can never capture what the print, especially polaroids() looks like in real life. the sad thing.

I know it is difficult to scan especially when your scanner is not cooperating. But, even though you might not think so, I think the slight magenta hue that is still in the BW image really brings out a nostalgic feel to the image. To me it is something lost but not completely forgotten. Something that we area still searching for. I love it!

This morning, for instance, I was very excited about scanning my latest toned print, but when I was done trying to match the scanned version to its original, final onscreen result was equal to what I've done with a completely different shade toner... I'm not even going to post it. It makes me want to do to my scanner what was done to the printer in "The Office Space" movie.
It's all about $$ I guess.

Must've been quiet satisfying.
I've done it with my last color printer. It felt great.

I know how difficult it is with scanning photos

it may look simple but it's also calm and dreamy
I love the darkness and mysterious mood

now I'm thinking of the struggle with keeping saturation and dealing with bleeding pixels... not a good show
the picture is soft poetry
