Wow this is inspiring. I really like the style here of how the horse is detailed, but then the tree and background not so much. It really dresses up a plain horse and adds a lot. I need to do it more in my own drawings. The grass seems perfect-what's your technique for doing grass like that? or would you rather not share. Anyway, great drawing.

This is very good. I love the attention to detail in this, especially the wrinkles. Those dapples are excellent, too. The tree seems a little sketchy in comparison to the amount of attention you gave the horse, but I don't think that really detracts from the picture, so it isn't really a problem. Very well done.
It's refreshing to see the heavier breeds represented.

heh, um, horse took like, 90% of the time, grass took like 7% of the time, and tree took well. . . the small number left from that. . .
ie. I got tired of it and didnt want to draw the tree in the first place. hell, at least you can tell its a tree!
