Beautiful! I wish I could draw water that well. (Or at all.) What kind of mythology is being created? (Yes; I had to look it up.)

Hey, that's an interesting and unusual picture! I like how the blue, turquoise and lime colors work together here! Neat.
I suppose "Mythopoesis " is something about how certain stories and myths tend to persist through cultures and be reused again. Or how do they evolve...

Sounds like mythoepia. Turns out it's related. The making of myths. Brilliant! Have you read the Tolkien poem called mythoepia?

I hadn't read it before, but if I understand the gist of it, we're both talking about the same idea: how myth-making is a part of human identity and consciousness. Not just the large myths, but the small ones as well, the myths of who we are and how we relate to the world.

Exactly! And (at least I am) how myths, while generally not true to fact, can express true ideas, communicating them with a power that is not found in other methods.
Your drawings are beautiful. Beautiful but creepy. This isn't exactly bad... just different. Like stepping into a world where everything has changed slightly.

Probably uncanny valley at work. I make things realistic enough to trigger the sort of unconscious scrutiny we apply to real people, but the expressions on my characters' faces are usually just a bit too introspective and out of kilter with their surrounding to look like a straightforward capture of a moment.

Is that on purpose, or is it something you realize you do, without meaning to? I'm just curious. You're totally right, thinking back to how they look.

Well if an Apotheosis is like attaining an enlightenment, is mythopoesis like attaining a mythical status?
