1838 the factory was used to make paper from Rags, before it had been used as a Metallurgical plant for iron and silver extraction. Originally built in 1663 by prince v. Hessen-Homburg it has a long history. A magical place with many industrial details!

Each of the vessels is a Hollander beater with a beater wheel that preper paper pulp by used metal blades and a chopping action to cut the raw material into short cellulose fibers.
