The original sketch for this was of Iridal, from Death Gate. When I painted it though, it didn't really look like her anymore... I thought of having it be a younger Iridal, but I liked her white hair and didn't want to change it. I like how the rainbow eyes turned out though. (I might go back later and add her locket.)The original sketch was pencil on paper, but it's all been painted over in Painter. I did almost all blending by hand, except for the very top of the background, and everything was painted on the same layer.

A perfect depiction of Iridal. What else can I say? You capture her perfectly in every way, right down to the slight redness around the eyes because she's cried so much. The rainbow eyes look fantastic. Be proud! This is an excellent picture.

I'm not really sure what I should say, metalwoldf72 pretty much said everything I wanted to. ^_^! Great job, the red underneath the eyes really makes them *pop* by contrasting with the blue.

I really like this picture. I love the Death Gate Cycle books too. I read um in 7th grade and have reread um almost every year. I really like how you did the effect wth the eyes. Keep up the good work.
