Description I made this frame for a local Thai/Japanese restaurant that opened in my area approximately two years ago by a lovely asian family fairly new to Canada. I have been going on a regular basis since, therefore have become quite familiar with them, and them me. I have tasted many of their dishes, the food is absolutely delectable, the preparations exquisite, the ambience calming, and they are truly such pleasant individuals. I appreciate their cuisine and them so much I will be presenting this gift to them my next visit, which will be shortly, as I already need my dose of avocado sushi, ginger beef & veggies, thai soup, and fried banana.

I am by no means a good artist, nor can I paint very well, but I enjoyed creating it, and will enjoy gifting it to them all the more. My only hope, is that they are touched, take a photo of their family and the restaurant crew, and hang it in their establishment.

~Started with a natural unfinished 5X7 wood frame. Engraved the restaurants name using a rotary tool. Then with a rag, wiped a dark walnut beeswax over the entire frame being sure to fill in the engraved writing. Let sit a few hours, wiped clean, ran a gentle sandpaper over the frame to remove any excess beeswax whilst giving it a more rustic look. The paint is a very cheap acrylic Along with no painting skill, and voila. ~
