Originally, I had shapes of creatures within the magical smoke, but I ended up cutting them out because they weren't working. But besides all that, I hope you like it! Critique is welcome. :)

This is simply brilliant! The shading is so realistic, although the character's contrasting animated design it's a masterpiece. The blue spirit/energy/flame has an otherworldly ghostly appearance, beautifully presented. The flame-like appearance is something that I actually struggle with, that's what caught my eye is your amazing interpretation.

Thank you so much, I'm really glad you like it! Fire and smoke are quite difficult to get a grasp of, but if you look up lots of reference photos and textures, you will get better at it with every piece you do.
