Description
This was from the front third of a larger piece of alabaster. Absolutely miserable piece of stone due to all the quartz crystal impurities (it "ate" three bow saw blades when I was cutting it). I liked the fairly symmetrical layers of color and could see it would suit a symmetrical mask. I associated all its sandiness with Roswell, New Mexico, so this "alien" face made sense.
