A starry nighty drawing. ~~I watched my friends playing and I imagined them playing under the starry sky...like they were in a fantasy book, as a team.
You know, when they stop for the night on a field and speak and play after eating until they fall asleep. ~~ And I missed a bard's voice so much from the scene...so I drew him! Hope the sweet melody is there in the pic!

I love this piece. As Errant said, there's a lot said in his pose, expression, and the overall composition. His neck is really long, but I actually don't think that's a flaw. It might be a randomly generated feature, but I think it adds to the emotion of the piece--separating it from more impressionistic fantasy artwork and putting it into a more expressive class.
I'd really love to see a more polished version, maybe color, maybe just cleaner lines. On the other hand, while I don't often like rough looks like this piece has, it might lose something by being put into hard lines. Perhaps that sepia/parchment look would flatter it.

Sometimes I wonder why does this pic have so much feeling, but guess it was the real thing I managed to get into it.
So many of you asked for it that maybe I'll do a colored version so I can proudly put it in my main gallery.
And of course I'll try to preserve the feeling!

The wonderful thing about this picture is that his appearance and posture say everything. I don't even need to see a background to be able to create one in my mind and that is a hard technique to pull of with a black and white piece.
Gotta love the bard class.

This is a beautiful piece of work! I really enjoy the sense of motion that you incorporate into your figure work! Your lines are very expressive. The clothing drapes well, giving an air of 3-dimensionality to your work.
