Yes, but not in "sweet mutual love" way. Neither it is "gRAPEfruit". I think, their relationships are very complicated, as Flippy is shattered inside. I strongly believe that his only true love bloomed and died in the war, and that he is no longer able to really love somebody as he once loved her.
