Sunset - Herlan Peak - Lake Tahoe, NV USAOne of many pointy things jutting up and around Herlan Peak like a crown. In the lower right corner of this image is what looks like an island just off shore - for anyone familiar with the Tahoe Area, this is the cluster of rocks of which the famous "Bonsai Rock" sits.

Quite a scenic view. The water, the color of the sky, the clouds, the cliff, and all the rest of the background complete the image. It almost looks like a painting come to life. The lone tree also helps the image of integrity. Personally, however, it is also kind of melancholy. Every day must come to an end. Whether or not this is true, the day this ended could have been a grand day. Nevertheless, all days come to an end and finales are often the most beautiful of movements. All that's missing are some vestiges of life that could bask in it all.
