Description
This is the new character that took me forever to cast!!

Project Folly's villain gets the tires of his Whizzer motorcycle shot out from under him at one point in the story, so I decided to go all the way and make the responsible character a professional gunslinger. (It's a Steampunk film. ) But for months, the only friend I could think of who could pull off the look was someone I couldn't count on to show up on filming days. Then, short story left ambiguous, I lucked out.

Making the character a cowboy archetype also solved another little problem, which I'm very pleased with. The storyline of "Project Folly" is largely adapted from a classic story from the 1800s, and in the original this character is a man suspected of frequenting brothels. Well, I personally don't mind showing a character's hand getting sliced off on camera, but I do mind allowing for prostitution in my perfect little fictional worlds. By making this character a monster hunter gunslinger, I can justify their being out on the town at 3AM, like the original story calls for.

Additionally, making her a monster hunter will give Rachel an expertise on the supernatural, which will come in handy for explaining a few important but esoteric plot elements to the audience.

Vampire Hunter D (I will marry his hat ! Even if he was a lint salesman instead of a big bad vampire hunter, dat hat alone makes D worth watching!)
Sir Aaron from "Pokemon" [link] (Also has a great hat. )
"The Shadow" as performed by Alec Baldwin (Shoulder holsters!! )
Old Western saloon girl choker and neckline ruffles
Elsa's coronation dress from "Frozen" (I considered giving Rachel a fitted black tactical turtleneck under her corset)
"Black Rock Shooter" (mainly for attitude)
The joint-compression bands my Jujutsu friends and I wear
A conversation my bro and I had about making lead clothing fashionable because of radioactivity in the Paciffic.....which inspired me to give Rachel a spring-steel armor corset.
Some spiffy "ear cuff" earrings I saw online.

The list goes on, but I'm sure you've had enough.
