Very pretty~! I love the color choices for the koi and the way you colored the scales. :3
Quite creative solution for the background effect too! 83

I've never taken a class in art in my life, so I'm completely and wholly self-taught. Digital artwork really doesn't require any real artistic skill if you understand the basics of some of the program commands; you can easily take advantage of programs like Photoshop because of layering effects and presets you can adjust in the program. Programs like Corel Painter and DA Muro work more like a real canvas though, so I struggle with those programs. :/ Those programs may be easier to transition from traditional to digital though.

I have only ever used PS, but you aren't the first to say the other formats might be more suited to me, I just am leery to spend the cash on them and then not use them lol ><

Well, I think I got a basic version of Corel Painter for free with my tablet - but I'm not sure if Wacom still does promotional stuff like that anymore. :/ There's also Open Canvas that you can try, which is a free program but primarily in Korean. lD The "English" version is only 1.1 but it works similarly to Painter, though to be honest I would say it's a mix between Painter and Photoshop. You can also link up with other users of OC to paint together on the same canvas. XD

Awww, lame! D: Yeah, they use to have older versions of programs free with the tablet, but when I bought my Bamboo, I had to get the Fun edition for a program "demo." I think they discontinued doing that now though. :/ Probably not profitable for the companies doing the program sharing, since people won't go out and buy the upgrade. XD;;
