This Pic was done in both gimp and PS CS5.5, annd it is one of the first drawings i have toyed' with a wacom tablet on. Hope you all like... this took me about 12 hours to do total... hope I get into the October players gallery so wish me luck!!Related content

I love this piece. The variety of effects, colors and line styles look really great together. The colors are excellent. Everything looks like it's glowing, or reflecting magical light in the dark. It looks like a chalk pastel drawing on black pastel paper, almost. It's very unusual, and I really, really like it.
Though one thing sort of bugs me. That line of distortion on the mage's upper body, on the beard and below the shoulder shoulder. None of the other spell bits go back like that, and I think it screws with the layers of the piece, especially since you have that awesome rush of it by the mage's legs, almost like a chariot or something. The awesome contrast that this pieces has wavers in that hairline fracture, I think. I wouldn't have put it there.
Though that's a minor subjective nitpick. I'll definitely look for this in the October Player's gallery. Hope you get in!

Well... There is supposed to be another mage being frozen in the ice, and that other mage was casting a blood spell at this mage. But it went awry, and I was getting kind of tired of working in gimp, (just got PS CS5.5) so don't be astonished if my pics start getting a little bit better, I am a lot better in photoshop with a tablet than gimp.... don't ask why but I am. lol
