Description I streamed the end stages of this piece and had some imaginative people on for the ride. We explored what kind of creature this must, what it might be called, and even its biological imperative!

We are reasonably certain this bird-fish is an alien bird; it never lands, soaring over the alien ocean of its homeworld. Unlike Earth-life, they do not have males and females but have a new concept of gender altogether. Offspring plummet into the ocean below and start as bird-tadpoles before they begin their unending flight.

We explored names for this bird: Bobfish, Jurg Clooners, and Haukea(sp?), and I wish I could remember the last one because I liked it the best - it was Japanese for gentleness and soaring, if I recall.

We decided that it is as large as a Haust eagle, with a much larger wingspan since it is incapable of landing.

This species answers my own question: what would eventual, evolved life look like if there was no landmass?

I started this wanting to practice birds. Eventually, I thought, what if it had a dragon's tail and spines? And fins like a fish? This is what we ended up with. Looks pretty good, and thanks to all who helped build a backstory for this.

I like how this creature ended up and how you rendered the feathers! Sort of bird-snake-fish swimming in the sky
