Quite a bit of drama in their faces--more than I intended, actually. Maybe that will drive the story of its own accord.
Zirena was drawn from the images of Adeline Debaire, a.k.a. perditax31. She has very compelling and expressive eyes. Thanks, Adeline!
Tomorrow (Wednesday) will be a busy day for me. I might not get Page19 up until Thursday afternoon.
Note: I fixed her left eye a bit in Photoshop--it looked a little bit odd.

I really love the composition of this piece. It looks like a movie-still! Her expression is just wonderful, the way she looks back at the character behind her. The shading on her face is very well-done, and so are the values and shading on the man's robe. I love it, plain and simple.

The sneer on her face and the hopefull look on his are really well done! The wagon looks a little small in this picture though, even for the angle. I love that wagon!

Cute little sneer on Zirena's face there, and Luther looks less than pleased at having to seek her help. The beard makes him somewhat less readable than your other characters, but I'd say Luther's having to swallow his pride and is not enjoying the taste.
You can just tell this isn't a happy reunion. SO not happy, in fact, that I get the feeling there used to be something between those two . . .

Yes, that is the message I'm trying to send. This whole story has lacked for an emotional depth (well, other than the deadly menace of combat and the sheer terror of being captured and hogtied by horrible bad guys in a terrible setting...) from the beginning, so it ought to be a nice change of pace--especially if it can lead us into more damsels in distress...

I think you ought to make Mme. Zirena a bit plump, or at least plumper than the other women... if you're capable of drawing females with less-than-perfect bodies.

I am making her a bit more solid than the others. Avora is taller and thin, and Deirdre is "petite," or so my wife tells me. Valerin is shorter but quite trim and muscular. So Mme. Zirena will be a bit wider in the shoulders and waist and hips, although I'm not sure I'll achieve "plump."

Well, I wouldn't like a woman as plump as you're probably describing. However I don't like superficial women neither, I think the sorceress is the perfect balance of how a body should be.

Well, I agree that she has a very good figure, but that's my point - they don't all have to ideal figures. Not fat, just not perfect.

I am trying to make her a little larger and wider in figure, relative to the size of her head. Assuming she ends up with the other heroines in the story, it will be easier to see when she's side-by-side next to them. Right now, standing next to Luther, she certainly looks thin...

The reason will be apparent--he's concerned about making this visit, and he knows she's not going to like it. The markings on his head include a knife scar down his left brow and cheek.

Fer RIZZLE, she is not in teh mood to see this guy!!! I LOVE such an expressive face! I think the reason I can get so attached to your characters is because they're so very human. I think, so far, Deirdre has called out to me the most, but this is fantastic emotionally, too!

Luther looks much mature then during his short apearance in Fair Harvest Inn. His face is much more gaunt and it seems that he has acquired some scars from previous conflicts. If his sorrows continues on like this he could soon go as double for Rasputin the mad monk
And he is deffinitly up to no good. Madame Zirenes expression pretty much shows that. But Luther looks like beeing desperate enough to force his wishes on her. And it seems that he has enough power (of the magistrate) behind him to add weight to his claims.

Yes, he can apply some pressure when he needs to, but he's shrewd enough to know that such a plan seldom works. So, he'll likely try some other way to get what he wants...
