I've already posted this Ariel piece, but what no one knows is that it was a redraw! I got into art because of school. I took HL Art through the IB program and focused my effort on different animation styles. After I graduated, I stopped drawing for a couple of years until Disney started posting drawing tutorials. I became hooked! From there, I discovered my favourite artist, Steve Thompson, and started emulating his style. The piece on the left was drawn a few months into my art rediscovery, sometime between May/July 2015. The one on the right was drawn a few months later, finished on April 7th, 2016.

This is my call to all people who think they can't draw. In just a few months, I went from blatantly copying a style to creating my own. It definitely won't be overnight. Practice by copying your favourite style until it feels natural. Slowly over time, your own style will emerge. Just from the pieces I've posted on here (which have been drawn over the past few months) you can tell my style has already changed. I am at a point where I'm finally happy with my style.

I have another redraw (one of the chibi fruit ninjas I drew wayyyy back in middle school). Let me know if you want me to post that one too!
