FULL-VIEW FOR FULL EFFECT!!

YAAAAY, I so proud of this one. I put a little more effort in this one background-wise than I normally do. I may use this background again...... Is that against the proverbial rules?

I've decided to take the "prologue" if you will - of my Kung Fu Panda story and let it become a fanfic on its own until I get the rest of the fic in order. This submission is, in a sense, an homage to that. And I like to do my research... All of the enlarged Chinese symbols in this pic are words that I think would've applied to little Shifu's earliest days of training under Oogway (i.e., integrity, courage, destiny, etc).

Now some of you may be looking at this and going 'Wha? " Let me clarify on a few things...

1. I'd say Shifu is maybe about 8 in this picture... According to my fic, he was 7 when he began training.
2. I figured that Shifu logically didn't have his robe for quite some time...since he wasn't a master yet and all. I tried to keep it from looking too much like Tigress's outfit, but I still figured I should keep it the color we're used to seeing Shifu in.
3. Red pandas (for those who didn't know, that's the kind of animal Shifu is) do have black fur on their arms and legs. If you look closely in the film, they did keep true to this - Shifu's arms were just always covered by his sleeves. I lightened the color up a bit to make it not so harsh.

And why the black and white sketch with the guide circles? Just 'cause.

I've got the Kung Fu Panda bug baaaaaaad. It's fun.
