More "Legacy of the Force" artwork!
A portrait of the little daughter of Jacen Solo (grown son of Han & Leia Solo) and Tenel Ka, the Queen Mother of the Hapes Consortium--she's supposed to be 4 years old here (as of the novel "Tempest"), and I chose to outfit her in a kid-size version of her mother's traditional Dathomiri warrior armor.
Graphite pencils (mechanical and classic)--2H, HB, 2B--on heavy-weight (80 lb) medium-tooth paper.

I just have a soft spot for cuteness. I've actually not read any of the books beyond where Jaina and Jacen are like toddlers. I think the one set farthest after ROTJ that I've read is Survivor's Quest, and that focuses on Luke and Mara.

Thank you! I adore Allana, and truly wish with all my heart that she still had her daddy in her life... What a terrible burden, to grow up steeped in the Light Side, and knowing your father was Sith... Poor kid. This was meant to show her very young, around 4 or 5, dressed in a miniature version of her mother's Dathormiri armor--I'm glad this appeals to you! Many thanks for the added

I hope she winds up having more of a personality than her mummy. I was never a Tenel Ka fan.
When you cross a Skywalker and a Solo, you get a tunnel-visioned "Sword of the Jedi", one confused and twisted sith, and a heroic martyr who's lightsaber ends a very bloody war...
Add some Hapan blood to the mix an' you get....
Well...whatever it is, it's adorable. She looks great in whuffa hide. I've heard that she runs about with a little stuffed taun-taun.

Aw, thanks! This was a pure interpretation: I've since learned she has curly hair (more like her mom)--but that her bright personality and intelligence is all Daddy (at least in the GOOD way of Daddy). I wanted to put her in a little version of her mother's prized Dathomiri warrior garb, as I was sure Tenel Ka would want the little girl to know and understand that part of her heritage, too; the little stuffed taun-taun of which you speak was given to her by her father--and she named it Jacen... **lip quivers** Many thanks for taking time to look and comment!

Because Allana had grown to love Jacen (he visited her and TK on Hapes as often as he could, but not so much as to arouse suspicion that the child might be his), and missed him when he was gone; when Jacen gave her the toy on one of his visits, Allana chose to name it Jacen...so she could have him with her all the time... **gets all misty again** Yes--it was sad...especially considering what happened in the end...

SO sorry! I forget that there are plenty of SW fans who are not conversant in the Very-Extended-Universe--Allana is actually the little daughter of Tenel Ka D'jo (the Queen Mother of the Hapes Consortium) and Jacen Solo (grown son of Han and Leia Solo)--conceived and birthed without the father's identity being known, so as to protect her from the homicidally ethno-centric Hapan nobility... She is Force sensitive, just like her mother and father--and now that Jacen has turned Sith Lord (and calls himself Darth Caedus...idiot boy....), we're all quite worried about what that'll mean for this child... Anyway--quite briefly--that's who this little girl is, and why I hope she's going to be okay!

I loved that moment, too (and am trying to put together a drawing of it now...but am having difficulty finding Han and Leia pics that will work for it...)! That was another of those beautifully written scenes--I completely agree!

I'm wondering if Tenel Ka will put the brakes on that--with the Hapan nobility all trying to figure out how to overthrow TK's reign as Queen, nothing would provide so much ammunition for that as them finding out that the heir to the Hapan throne was fathered by the new Darth Vader (...so to speak...)... She may try to extract the Solos' promise never to tell anyone what they know, to protect herself and mostly to protect Allana. It'll be interesting to see how that all plays out (...Hapan politics/monarchy is a mystery to me...), especially with the war escalating...

Thank you kindly--and the armoring was inspired by Tenel Ka's, from the costuming she was depicted as wearing back in the Young Jedi Knights period of books/illustrations. It's probably much like that of Kirana Ti's, as they're both Dathomiri (though TK was also part Hapan--but her momma made sure she was well-schooled in her Dathomiri heritage, too!

The Dathomiri armor wasn't my idea, originally--I had some folks on another forum make that suggestion; since we often see Tenel Ka wearing hers, I figured it would make sense that the Queen would make sure her little one was aware of and embraced her "warrior heritage" as well as her Hapan heritage!

Hmm, interesting piece but I see perspective and proportion problems here. The chain mail is too βflatβ and the shoulders are too wide in comparison to the head. (this is looking beyond the shoulder plates.)

Thank you for the critique--it's always appreciated. I used a "photo model" for this piece, but didn't grid for it, so there are probably a lot of proportional errors (this is also the first little kid I've ever drawn, so lack of experience probably enters into it as well). I always welcome critique--it's how we learn what we need to work on, so thank you again.

she's just so cute I have to like her even if I want her father to be impaled on Luke Skywalker's light saber while Boba Fett shots him in the head sorry they both deserve revenge..... poor Ailyn beat to death by him.... but can't judge the kid by the parent case in point Anakin Luke evil apparently skips generation

I truly hope Allana diverges greatly from her father's footsteps--she's an innocent, after all--and your analogy of Luke vs. Vader is a good one for Allana, too: the sins of the fathers are not necessarily visited on the children... At least I hope that's how it turns out... Poor kid--I wonder when she'll learn about "dear old dad..."

Tenel Ka is becoming quite like Padme, true: having a child whose father must remain hidden, a monarch in a threatening position, etc. Lots of similarities there. I hope she can shield her little girl from what Jacen is becoming, though...

LOL--it's a duplicate of one I put on another drawing I did of her mother a long while ago--I put TK into her Dathomiri armor, but still wanted her to have the "trappings" of her queenly station on Hapes, so I gave her a velvet cape with a clasp at the shoulder--it needed something for interest, so I scribbled this pattern/design on it... **sheepish grin** In otherwords (and to make the long story short!), I made it up!

NICE! and cute of course. Yes, I do really like the details in her clothing, and I think you were right on target with the design. I think I remember the book mentioning she wore similar styles to her mother. I'm not quite done reading Tempest yet, but I already bought Exile, so I'd better get going! lol
