I'm going to start studying at Gray's School of Art in September! This was really just a play around with acrylics, since I'm so rusty with them. My collection of ammonites has been growing, I've added a couple pearlescent ones that inspired this. However the iridescent effect I added is too subtle, both my camera and scanner refuse to pick it up, so unfortunately you only get to see the black and white version online.
This year I've swapped out my focus on my normal fantasy pieces for crafts ( I'll post some of them up soon) and random technique studies instead. I do still adore fantasy, I'm not going to suddenly become a landscape painter, despite what my recent shared work might indicate.
I've mostly been sharing older things from college, since I know I'll never get around to it after art school, but my heart will always belong to the fantastical...it just might have to take a bit of a back seat to get through the academic process unfortunately.
