Description
A storm rolls in upon a rocky coast while a pair of gulls soars ahead into an oncoming storm. Their daughter follows behind, easily distracted by the glint of the sand and the crash of the waves, while all three of them remain oblivious to the hidden giants roaming the seas. Are they aware of the oncoming calamity?
Prompt 2 - Losing their way.
Show us how they went missing. Did they physically go missing or did they get lost mentally, emotionally or spiritually? What location were they in?
Sooth went missing in a storm one day following her parents as they taught her how to eventually survive without them, the violent winds separating her from them and blowing her off course. When the winds die down and the exhaustion sets in, she eventually settles upon the wreck of an old ship grounded on a reef, perching on the wreckage, at a loss of what to do or where to go.
I tried something new for this one, following our good friend Bob Ross, so there are fewer layers and overall it took a lot less time than I would normally have taken. I really like the style, and I played around with a lot more textures trying to replicate what he was putting on his oil canvas! All in all I consider it a successful experiment - many thanks to SpiritWindz and SandScales for letting me include their lovely big Esk, Knot (Left) and Caballero (Right), I think they fit in really well!
Characters to their respective owners. Esk are a closed species you can find here;
