Kumiko was born into a wealthy family, cared for by the people that worked in her family's large house. As a young child, she would play with her powers and fold paper airplanes and throw them at people. She was always bright and happy then. However, her parents were never home often, and when they were, they argued a lot. Her mom died when she was 11, and her dad came home even less after that. Kumiko grew separated from other people. She learned to live on her own, being independent from then on. The person she was closest to was her private tutor. Kumiko gained a passion for learning, and was always top of the class in every grade. Being so used to number one student, when she has competition, Kumiko gets very competitive. Bored being with the same people all the time, she began to switch schools. She heard from her often-traveling father that Seishun High was an interesting school, and wanted to see for herself. Thus, she applied for the school.
