Description Ugh. It's late and I'm too tired to think of a witty description, so...

Endexis, original character of mine, 2010. There. Bam. Done.

Freaky...I like his hand claws...and his expression. He looks so sad for a monster type. What happened to him!? Now I"m sad!

Definitely like the rust-y colors here. And you totally showed the textured brush who's boss

I would have sworn that was acrylic... very nicely done, love the brush textures! You really make the salmon-ee colors work magic here, too.

Thanks! I've recently been seduced by the textured brushes in Photoshop. There's nothing like an "acrylic painting" you can Edit/Undo left and right! Hahaha.

The colors are a funny story. This piece was actually teal and pink from start to finish but then I started playing with the Hue tool and ended up here. I think it was a smart move though -- the teal/pink combo looked a bit "soft". This version is more harsh and...manly? Sure! Why not! All those manly, manly, salmon.

*first comment pants dance* This doesn't even look like it was digitally done. It looks like it is expressionistically painted...yeah I don't even know if that's a word or not, but I'm gonna use it anyway. You are on a bit of an art kick lately aren't you? Are these past pictures that you are just finding time ot upload or are they new?

Amazing expression...the-slight-turn-to-the-side-downward-expression is Sooooooo hard to draw! And then you throw in a hand (damn you hands! I hate you all!!! Okay, well not you guys *pats her own hands lovingly*) which is the bane of existance trying to draw. Those horn things look fun though .

And what is Endexis from, pray tell. You upload characters, say they are originally yours...but from what? Are you writing a booky poo?

All of them are new, done in the last 6 months or so. This particular one was just finished on Friday night. I slapped it on here as soon as I was satisfied. Well...not so much satisfied as eager and impatient to start on the next, fresh, project. It looks alright, I don't hate it, good enough!

And OMG, yes, I know exactly what you mean about hands. I friggin' hate hands. Frankly, I just have a face-fixation...everything else gets in the way. I really have to force myself to care that the wonderful, magical, heads have bodies to keep them from floating off into the ether. Sounds like you might be the same way!

No, no booky pooh. Endexis, Shyndri, Rezryn & Kayde are all from TJ and my D&D campaign. Er, well, not EXACTLY D&D but it's based on a knock-off game that follows a lot of the same concepts. Regardless, we have a really good story going! And it gives both of us an excuse to do some creative writing (yes, we write stories for each segment of the game -- it's overkill but it makes the game sooooo enjoyable), as well as giving me a lot of fuel for artwork. *Points at the top of the webpage and winks* See? See?! Fuel!!

Speaking of books, lemme read yours!!!! I still remember the story you were writing back in high school. I dropped the ball on reading your literature back then but I've got more time on my hands now. So share! Do it! You know you want to!

Hmmm, how do I explain this? I started writing one book, and it was going okay. Doing my typical main-character-is-a-guy, but decided for the first time in my life to do it first-person-perspective. It was going pretty good, but I got all hung up on how a guy is SOOOO obsessed with a particular woman (and since I'm not a guy, it began to feel unreal, and he just started looking like a sniveling idiot). So I did a total rewrite, and threw in a woman as the main character...no, not only that, but a woman whose never dated before falling madly in love with a man that does share the same for her. But I started writing the novel in pieces, and mapping ways to connect the pieces. And then I came to Odirus. And his story evolved from the book...and it really was, initially, a chapter of the novel where he talks of his life. But he really spoke to me, and so I decided that this novel that I was working on was going to be my second book, so now I have that hanging in the wings, waiting for me, while I am now concentrating solely on Odirus. I've got one chapter officially done, and have been working on pieces that I've got to connect. I'm almost to the point of connecting the first two points together, that I really, really, just want to yank my hair out because, though this part is essential (stupid, technical jargon dealing with a futuristic world - *gasp* I know, me and sci-fi...well sort of), I just can't wait to paste the other part to the other. I can send you chapters as I finish them, but I don't know how often that is going to be...planning is becoming obsessive, and am struggling with providing enough foreshadowing without being obvious... (Ha ha ha...and I thought your comment was long!) But yeah, I'm literally back at the beginning of this one - although I've already written the ending. So yeah, in short, I will send you what I've gotten, but it may be far and in between with more. And I'd be interested in what you written. Your writing has always been intriguing to me...and tag-teaming with TJ sounds really interesting.
