That little scuff of dirt. . . .simply amazing. It embodies the very essence of autumn: dirt and dying and decomposition. The composition is a little bare, though, almost washed out, whilst autumn is the season of colour. Perhaps a little bit more than brown in the background would've given it more of an impact. I feel like the shoes could mean moving on or starting new. To me, autumn means the beginning of the school year, with new classes, new teachers, and new tortures to endure. The shoes might signify walking on, stepping over hardships to come. I also admire the use of the pink shoes, even though it's not usually associated with autumn. They add a touch of hipster, and the whole photo simply SCREAMS vintage (which I really love!).
