That is beautiful! I've been wondering how to get into painting. I've been a pencil and paper guy for a long time and i was thinking of trying my hand at it. Any suggestions for a beginner?

Thanks! My suggestion would be so play with acrylics. Focus on value rather than color. Do a few pieces black and white so itll look like your pencils but you'll start to feel the paint. Then when your comfortable move to color. Start with a few monochromatic pieces, then some complimentary pieces, then try a few without using either black or white. Try it out let me know how it goes.

Really beautiful peice! The detail of the tattoos is incredible and I love how you did her hair. She's a beautiful model as well! Was it painted on canvas? My experience of taking photos of coloured artwork is that the lighting is very off and so takes away from the colours, details and highlights/shading of the peice and I think that has happened a little with you taking a photo of it. It's a very beautiful painting overall!

thank you very much. yea the photo did change the piece a bit but i tried my best to get it as close to the original as i could. its actually painted on a piece of mat board which i use for all my watercolor paintings since i tend to them in ink, water and paint.
