Nice work!
I like how well she stands out, and the ethereal wings are a nice touch. Love the 'electric' purple colour, one of my favorites.
The shadow ties everything together nicely, though I think shadows work best with an alpha of 30-60% unless you're going for really moody...
... which could well have been your intention. ^_^

hmm originally I was going for "moody", but after playing with the shadow a bit, I think I like it better a bit lighter. What do you think? (I uploaded the edited version)
