Description I was inspired by another piece I saw, it was created for a CD inlay [link] It was so beautiful I was motivated to make something of my own.

That is so pretty. I want the dream hobbit hole I have had since childhood to have this door somewhere inside.

no, thank you, I haven't even built my house yet and already have people (well, person) wanting to see it!

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Filmchild In reply to Fulstein [2011-05-07 00:46:17 +0000 UTC]

Well yes, personally I couldn't pass up a house in a tree.

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Fulstein In reply to Filmchild [2011-05-07 05:22:27 +0000 UTC]

ideally the tree will be the entrance and the rest the house will be in a cliff directly behind the tree with an artesian well running through the length of the cave house. Then the game plan is to spend the rest of my time carving the inside and outside cliff face with the best knot work my brain can squeeze out.

Well you just might become a famous architect, and then were will you be?

Fulstein In reply to Filmchild [2011-05-09 02:43:54 +0000 UTC]

that'd be welcomed although I'd like to bunched in there with Edward Leedskalnin only slightly less creepy. If that's the case i'd probably be hunched over a desk in my cave carving something on something

Some say that King Ludwig II of Bavaria, was a mad. And because the king always thought of things on such a bigger scale, he built a beautiful castle with a cave inside it.

I'm not sure if I would call that mad, but rather a dreamer of un thought-of things.

Wow! Honestly I had to look that guy up but his story seems awesome, I'll have to read up on him some more. His castles are great and he's an inspiration for sure, thanks for the enlightenment!
Hope you have a wonderful Thursday

I really like this piece.

It gives you plenty of scope for the imagination and the photomanipulation is well done!

Cheers!
