Some of you may remember I was commissioned to do a catalog cover, but then because of the economy the company couldn't afford to even print the catalog. This is the picture I did for that, and instead, we sold it at the ICCS fundraising gala.

Yes its very moving, I have never seen one with Baby Jesus giving Mary her crown. Its very sweet and the sweetness brings to mind the difficulty and suffering Mary must have gone through especially as a Mother.
I had the same feeling as I did when seeing the Pieta or listening to "Mary did you Know."
Another drawing I find moving in this way is the one of Mary receiving Eucharist from Saint John the Apostle with the Shroud of Turin in the background:

The idea of Mary somehow reunited with Jesus after his suffering is very moving. We don't know if she is one of the disciples He appeared to after His Death, only that she received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and that she reunited with Jesus in Heaven, but I don't know if she had any such comforts during her life on Earth. Her getting Jesus back as Her Baby in Heaven and her receiving Jesus' Body as the Eucharist on Earth both made me want to cry with the bittersweetness, because they keep pointing back to that suffering she felt watching Her Son on the Cross.

How beautiful and sweet! You have depicted in a way i never thought of before. I had always pictured Jesus as an adult crowning Our Blessed Virgin. But, you have given a sweet meaning though Jesus as a child crowning Mary.
