★ Kingdom Canidae [2/10]:

The personal project that I've been working on; it's a series of 10 images illustrating a fantasy world that showcase 10 different kinds of Canids (doggos!) with facts and story~
Its intent is to be printed as a book so the artwork is created in spread format.

☆ Shiba Inu. (In Japanese; 柴犬>)

Our cute bunch of little smiling dogs. They are like a happy virus, spreading cuteness and happiness to everyone they come across.
Lazing around on the open field, cuddling onto their cheerful owner, enjoying the breeze of the wind against their fur.

☆ Story

The five Shibas all came together in the hopes of being able to get the most pats from their owner.

It seems like this particular lady has dedicated herself to be that exact person. Originally a magician in her past, she decided to let go of that life filled of stress and
sorrow, and fill her life with things that make her happy.

How we spend our days if of course, how we spend our lives. And in her case, five times more dosages of
happiness than she has ever received before~!

☆ Facts & Info

Their name literally means “brushwood dog”, which could be derived from brushwood leaves that turn red in the fall - resembling the vibrant colour of their coat.

The handsome Shiba Inu is also the smallest breed of spitz dog in Japan.
They are alert and brave, with a spirited boldness and independent nature, making them fiercely loyal companions.

Did you know? The Shiba Inu was originally bred for hunting.
