so, episode 4 is still being worked on, and here's one of the characters that's set to be in it. his name is oliver, and he's a panamanian white-faced capuchin monkey. (doubt this matters, but alex - a recurring character in the series - was originally going to be named oliver)

oliver originally got a job working as an assistant and therapist at k-9 labs because he wanted to help people, as well as to see if he can figure out his own problems... which backfired. he realized at some point down the line that this job isn't right for him, but wasn't allowed to quit, so he has to keep doing it anyway.

he's genuinely trying to help others, but sometimes his assistance is detrimental. he does eventually realize this, and a subplot throughout the next several episodes of this series will be oliver undergoing something of a redemption arc... but revealing more details would involve major spoilers, of course, not to mention that i haven't completely decided on some of it. i gotta leave some surprises, don't i?
