i'm at this weird spot of episode 4 of my series where i don't know if there's much else to write, so i've already started writing some of episode 5... i kinda plan on going back through episode 4 and fixing/proofreading stuff at some point

i definitely plan on coming up with some more character designs in the meantime, especially given that there'll be a few who are being introduced in episodes 4 and 5 (probably not this one, though... i just wanted an excuse to design a character that's a gelada)

his name is casimir, and as previously mentioned, he's a gelada. i'm no stranger to designing characters who are primates, but i've gotta admit that geladas were a unique choice; to some extent, i relied on my experience with drawing baboons and other baboon-like monkeys (mainly mandrills and drills), because despite geladas not actually being considered a true species of baboon, they're still closely related enough to resemble them.

a lot about casimir is to-be-determined at this point or spoiler-related (of course), but i do know now that he's a mercenary - vengeance is his middle name (well, technically, it's ashley). cas is a bit hard to classify morally, given how ruthlessly he can deliver justice, though he only ever targets those who have committed even worse crimes; he has a rule that he'd never harm an innocent person.

some of the inspiration for cas' character came from the song "say hello to the angels" by interpol (hence where the title of this art comes from)... i've decided that song is his leitmotif now.
