An angry, hissing Halloween cat, for `synconi 's Folding Challenge
The theme for October is: Orange.
Designed and folded by me from a 12 inches square of paper, painted black on both sides beforehand.

Whoa, how'd you get the cat so three-dimensional? I've always had problems giving my projects volume, but you seem to have no problems with that. It looks so tense; really angry! Nice job!

To give Origami volume, I always end with "wet-finish"
By which, I will slightly wet the paper and make it a lot softer and give it shape more easily.
I tie it up with laces to retain its shape while it dries and it will stay like this afterwards and even be stronger than before.
You can use water and it will work fine but even better is to use a clear liquid glue like methyl cellulose (or diluted wallpaper glue) to give the model more strength.
