Description
My submission for `synconi 's ย Folding Challenge ย"The theme this month is BOLDLY FOLD AS YOU'VE NEVER FOLDED BEFORE."
I've decided to fold this pine cone because it is both a tessellation model and a plant, which are two things I seldom do and have never uploaded to my gallery before.
Made from a 12 inch square of paper, painted with acrylic paint before folding.
The model is a design by Beth Johnson.

I too like to paint the paper with acrylics! May I ask where you get your paper from, though?ย

The paper I use is most often Yasutomo "fold'ems" origami paper, since it's widely available in my local shops.
It's not the highest quality paper to work with on it's own but, it's thin enough to still be workable when painted. ย

I've had colored packs of the same type, and I have painted the white sheets with excellent results! You have found it in packs of just white?

Out of your normal comfort zone, and you're still excelling! The folds and creases are beautifully done and it looks so perfect and delicate hanging there...gorgeousย
