The paper I use is most often Yasutomo "fold'ems" origami paper, since it's widely available in my local shops.
It's not the highest quality paper to work with on it's own but, it's thin enough to still be workable when painted. ย

I've had colored packs of the same type, and I have painted the white sheets with excellent results! You have found it in packs of just white?
