Description As I burn this place burns to ashes, I walk with a purpose to find something better...

----------

Why is it that we always become the best version of ourselves after a breakup? I guess because it forces us to reflect, learn, and make changes.

I will say this...

There is nothing like love gone wrong to wake the muse inside of me.

If I may, I'd like to offer some constructive criticism. You've got a solid concept here, this idea of walking up into the "heavens", so to speak, and finding a better place beyond all the chaos and destruction. However, I feel the escalator is a bit out of place. If perhaps it was floating rocks in the form of stairs, or maybe some old steps from a temple, it might blend in with the scene a bit more. The thing is you have this desolate wasteland, but then also have a clean piece of technology. It feels out of place. Despite that, like I said, the idea is good. The use of red/orange bokeh to simulate sparks is clever and interesting.

Hopefully this helps!

You're totally right on that.

To be honest, my skills are not good enough where I can imagine something, and make it happen. My process is more of a "put images together, and see what blends well." I hate my limitations, but am working every day with tutorials and learning new things so I can eventually put things together how my mind originally sees it. The escalator originally worked well as a surreal object, but once I started making the image "real" with fire and the portal...it became like you said...out of place. One day I'll get it right!

Thanks for the tips

(The "heavens" is actually "greener pastures"...like the metaphor...people leaving a relationship, for something they think is better)
