Behold, "The Divine Sarah!"

Sarah Bernhardt was (quite possibly) the greatest stage actress the world has ever seen. She was a pretty amazing person too.

Sarah went through tons of crap in her life; an uncaring mother, being thrust into slums, debt, having an illegitimate son with a prince at age 20, slander, rumors, and just plain stupid people, but she rose above it all and kept at things until they went her way. Sarah had to have one of her legs amptuated when she was in her 70's, and still kept acting, even with one leg. She kept working as an actress until she died, at age 79.

Cool, huh? Her life could be made into a movie, but they'd have trouble finding an actress with her level of talent.
