10x 20 inches, much nicer in person (very soft watercolor edges) - the framed painting will be available at the MFF '06 artshow. Hopefully along with the cougar... which I am working on right now.
Watercolor and india ink.
This is the complete image, not just the truncated version I used for the stamp. It is styled after a malamute, but highly inspired by the wolf-dog connection and the circular symbol represents both a wolf's moon and a northern dog's curled tail.

Powerful work. Are there going to be four of these Guardian Spirits? This would look great on a drum (well, on anything, actually). A set of all the spirits on a drum....

Actually there will probably be six of them, I want to finish a set to carve onto a totem pole about 5 feet tall, so these are the wrap-around images I am working on. Will most likely be cougar-wolf-bear-ram-raccoon and raven. Though I'm sure I'll end up doing more, I'm itching to try lynx and badger.

that is awesome. In fact, do you have a standing policy on use for tatoos...Ive been looking for something simular to that.
