That fur, that background! Did you use purple here too? The fur gets visibly thicker behind the ears and that is so great <3

Ohh thank you so much. There are so many masters of illustration (and I am not one of them), but I am very happy to know that when I draw a wolf nowadays, they feel a lot more 'wolfish' to me.

How long did the background/swirls take you to draw?

The whole thing - including colouring - probably took about four hours all up! But I do the swirls a *lot* faster than I used to. Once my wrist learned how to do them absently (i.e. with muscle memory) the whole process became a lot faster.

I love the mix of colours atop the swirls - which are so neat like how do you even get them so neat do you take a whole day just to draw them out perfectly? And the texture you're created in the fur. So awesome. ^^
