UF 5.03; PS CS3; RealDrawPRO 5I have no idea how this ended up with almost 50 layers; I could/should have left out some of the textures because they rendered out.

I'd say the foreground purple structure wouldn't have been the same without the strange, yet great chessboard in the background. First of all, for the "relief"-like effect; and second, for the sake of exhalting purple itself. You did a great job in highlighting all of its shades, both with the background and the shiny little yellow.

Thank you very much. Sometimes the backgrounds are the hardest part and that is true in this case. The smaller checker/chess board was too distracting but I think by adding the inset of larger squares, I got the look I was going for.

What I meant is that they are perfect together. The fractal would have been great anyway, but the chessboard adds to it, without a doubt.

Delicate and girly. I love the colours on it. But I feel that it would look better if you moved the julia set more to the left, and rotated just a tiny bit clockwise; or maybe it's just me... Lovely!

I think I may have left a bit too much space in the upper left and I could have zoomed out on the Julia a little bit more but I always try to keep things a bit off-center.

I think you are right. If you like to keep things off centre, then it would be better to zoom out a bit. But it is lovely anyway. Love the colours and intricacies!
