First day driving through Rocky Mountain National Park, things looked busy (it was a Sunday) so we decided to delay our hike and do things the "right" way by hiking at sunrise the following morning. Budgeted just enough time and managed to get to Dream Lake right at sunrise as the sun began to bath Hallett Peak in a saturated pink/orange glow! So glad JupiterLily was willing to get up at 4:30am and make the 1.1 mile hike with me Hadn't been to the mountains in years, let alone since I've gotten into photography, so being able to photograph something like this on my first trip back to the mountains really meant something special to me
