Description Another from the latest and greatest... a female Phidippus putnami jumping spider Actually found a second female of this species, and a male in just a couple of days! Pretty cool to start finding these spiders that used to largely go unnoticed. This has quickly become one of my favorite spiders to shoot, as they seem to have just the right mix of curiosity / hunting instinct / adorable fuzzy hair on their heads Actually released this girl back into the "wild" today after she mated, and thus the future population of adorable fuzzy jumping spiders around the garden was secured

No cute jumpers where you are? That's surprising. They're pretty good at fitting in a variety of places. I didn't even notice that we had these until just a couple years ago

Oh we have a lot of cute Jumpers, but ours are so tiny
9 milimeters is our biggest.

Usually, spiders bite me, but those spiders are tiny compared to this little lady.
