Description Yayyyy!! I did my first art process!!

1.) Doodle Sketch
Extremely rough idea. I usually take a bit to think up the composition of a drawing, not really worrying about proper anatomy and detail that will come in later stages.

2.) Rough Sketch/Line
Detail! Still pretty sketchy and rough but this the stage I start adding the unique characteristics of the character. Drawn on a new layer on top of the Doodle Sketch layer.

3.) Clean Line
In other words; THE MOST TIME CONSUMING PART FOR ME. Ughhhhh This is the step where all line detail needs to be drawn with precision and the character receives a much cleaner look. It's super important that all of your lines connect properly. Drawn on a new layer on top of the Rough Sketch/Line layer

4.) Base Colors
FINALLY. COLOR. Each different color is put on it's own layer, allowing for easy editing of hues/saturation/contrasts..etc

5.) Soft and Blend-able Shading/Highlights
Locking the layer of the color I'm working with, I use the Brush tool to create soft shadows or soft highlights.
My Density is always 100%, Persistence 0%, Dilution 0%, and Blending varying from 20-60% depending on the intensity that I need.

6.) Hard Shading/Highlights
"Block Shading"

7.) Lighting
And some light by playing around with Luminosity or Overlay

8.) Add Watermark/ Finishing Details
Yup.

My canvas was 1593 X 2255, (5 inch X 7 inch )so maybe that's why my computer could handle it XD
How big of a canvas to you draw on?

Mine are usually around that size. Maybe at most a inch or two bigger. My computer is old so I'm not expecting much from it anyways though. xD

It's kinda how I color. I have to have folders and whatnot to organize. Name each layer. And wala, organization!

You welcome!
I'm still trying to learn new ways to color. But some artists use all different kinds of techniques and it's exhausting to know them all. x-x

I'm always somewhat reluctant to try a new technique of coloring because I'm worried people wouldn't recognize it as my style ^^'
But I should try like you do too!

It's fun!
I got my tablet on Christmas so I've only had a few months learning how to color digitally. ^-^;;
