As another artist, I have to say, this is gnarly. I love the use of negatives pace to create fantastic contrast, the shading and details are just filthy!Β If I had anything critical toΒ say, I would say I am way too critical! But I was wondering if maybe the drawing started from the bottom and worked it's way up, because in my infantile experimentation with photo-realistic art, I tend to want to finish a piece right after the hardest part is done, and the water above the shark looks just a tiny bit hurried, almost like the artist was timed in the event. I am totally guilty of this myself, if it takes too long, I get tired of looking at it, so I will get a wee bit sloppy at the very end. I only say this because it was SO good, I could only tell it was actually a drawing and not a photo by looking at the details above the shark, but that may well be by design , so it is an epic piece either way. I love it.

You are right. This is not a finished work, but a sort of test with the fish subject. I love drawing water, but I know the process need time and patience

I should try simple pencils on watercolor paper, it must give an interesting texture.

You could, but I use the smoothest quality (called satinata) you still have a texture, but is very little
