(I wasn't sure if a butt counted as mature content...so I'm going to trust you guys are okay with it, since it's very little nudity)

Contrary to common belief, I have in fact been drawing! It just so happens that I’ve been drawing for my AP Studio Art class instead of personal art (I don’t think this will happen for a while…). The first piece I’ve been working on are illustrations for one of my short stories, “Deforestation.” The drawings go in chronological order. They are going to appear in the story itself, which I’m using my handwriting font for (see my latest journal for info on that). I’m only showing you 6 of the 8 drawings, since one drawing doesn’t exist yet and the other is a mess Please note that a couple of these are still WIPs. I hope you enjoy!

Edit: Just realized that I never posted "Deforestation" here...well, here's some info about the story. "Deforestation" is a fantasy short-story that takes place in Venezuala. A dryad named Sakune is born in the middle of the rain forest, but with a curse: she is bound to the tree that bore her. She also is born mute. Near Sakune's tree lives a Native American tribe called the Pemon. Now there's one Pemon boy named Josias who goes to Sakune for guidance, for "strangers" are coming to destroy her. These "strangers" are people outside the forest who want to cut down the trees, including Sakune's. Sakune gives Josias wisdom about the situation, and the two create a connection. Over a span of ten years, the two fall in love. One day, Josias comes to Sakune's tree again and insists that he can save her. As Josias gets closer to her, Sakune begins developing a voice. As Josias touches her, Sakune becomes human and runs away with him. In the end, the "strangers" find her tree, which is "nothing more than a shell" when they see it.
