This painting was inspired by a visit with a Native American descendent of the Catawba Tribe. He came to the opening of my art show "First Americans: Native Series", he told me that he liked the show and I shared with him what inspired the series. In conversation he said: "They are always with us" referring to the spirits of the past. I was moved by this and created this painting over the last two days. Enjoy.
