Description This is a recent project that I just completed in my figure drawing class.
The subject title for our project was "hard at work" and so I chose to use a photograph that I had taken of my boyfriend Tony while he was working hard on an essay.

I am really excited about the things I am learning in my art classes. I am slowly stepping farther into other art mediums and creating a wider range of art forms I am able to experiment with. Usually I work in a 2D style and use a lot of line elements and I am really proud of myself that I am able to pull of a picture like this.

It is 18x24 nupastels (soft pastels)

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask!!!
I am really happy with the end result. It was a GREAT project!

I graduated from there yes. Like, wow now that I think about it almost 2 years ago XD

I didnt really do a lot of color work in high school though. Most of my color pieces were done in college. You learn LOT once you leave high school I promise. Are you in DA right now?

yup i jst got there im a freshmen i love that school today it was spirt day ya know where u wear ur class colors and the seniors where rioting
your reallllly amazing i wanna get as good as you cuz i dont know much bout cloring and stuff and i cant belive u colored those pics with colorin pencils thats really amazing i could never do that!!

absolutely! Your drawings are SO cuuute! Now I know that a lot of the art teachers dont like anime and stuff but don't let it stop you. Anime is a style of art so you do learn a lot of technique from it. I can see you have nice coloring skills too. We also seem to have a lot in common. Do you listen do a lot of hatsune miku? I saw that it said you were listening to triple baka and one of your pictures is po pi po.

(sorry this took so long to respond to) No my major wasnt photography it was drawing and painting but I enjoyed photography there as well.

And as for vocaloids MAN i couldnt tell you which song is my favorite. I think I have more vocaloid songs in my playlist right now than regular music XD.
im actually working on a big hatsune miku picture right now. I hope to have it finished and uploaded by the end of the week :3

This is simply phenominal! The way you've used fleshtones and redish tones to shade and highlight the skin really is pleasing to the eyes and also I really like how everything is incredible smooth and blended in well.

(sorry it took so long to reply) Hours. hours and hours and hours and hours. I spent a LONG time on this picture. Its 18x24 so its pretty wide scale. Bigger paper= more detail
