thanks, the chainmail is in fact the easiest part of such paintings once you set up a suitable brush.

I think this is my favorite of all your work here, the way the light is handled (through the banner, reflected off his armor onto the wall, the way the light is overexposed in the window, etc) is very sensitive and skillful.

I like that backlight effect it really emphasizes the 'regalness' that reminds me where's robin hood? heheh.. j.k... just remember they always mention him in the story.

True...but one thing that few people know is that the Austrian king Leopold V. put king Lionheart under arrest on DΓΌrnstein castle (where I already visited his prison cell) for several months before Lionheart was redeemed for a ransom of 23 tons silver mark

It was silver mark, the currency in Austria, Germany, etc. back in 12th century..
