Behold how original I am! *sigh*I did say that I thought I would do more from Twilight in the near future, though. Sooo here eet is. I think I like using purple. It pops up a lot.
I wonder where they are. *muse*
EDIT (11/9/08): Um... is this being featured somewhere or something? O_o? Because I've gotten like... 20% of the favs in the last month, and I'm really curious as to how that happened. XD

This is so beautiful. I feel like despite it being the title, the actual meaning and theme of twilight is forgotten in the context of the love saga. You captured the beauty of that in-between space between night and day.

Wow, I am super late in replying to this! Anyway, thank you very much for your thoughtful comment about this picture. I really appreciate knowing that it had that sort of feel to you - I remember wanting to do something that actually fit with the title, so it's nice to know somebody saw that in it.

Haha, thanks! No worries anyway - I enjoyed the first book a lot, but by the time I was 100 pages into the last one I kinda of wanted to throw it in a fire.

Well, I hated the book from the start. Which part do you like most?

I just liked the first one because it was a fun read - it wasn't demanding (the plot and writing style were straightforward), the twist on the genre was fresh and interesting at the time (I managed to read it the summer before it really took off), and it was a sappy happy romance (which I needed after having a pretty rough/upsetting month to start the summer). It was just kind of a perfect storm of elements that made it click for me at the time. I didn't really like the second book because I thought it was pointless since she was obviously going to be back with Edward, and the third book just felt kind of like a filler? I don't even remember what happened in that one. I just assumed that, like with many series, the start and end would be the strongest parts. But I got to that last book and it was just gag-worthy and full on drivel... I just did not care because nothing was really at stake. It was so bad that it cast a whole different light on how I viewed the rest of the series. Soooo that's kinda how that went for me I guess!

Haha I think there is a difference between a "good" read and an "entertaining" read (which is something I'd only give the first book). Bella is just a vehicle for the narrative, and that was what I found entertaining. Her blandness didn't bother me at first, but it definitely got annoying as the books went on.

The problem with drawing characters from books is that it is very easy for them to look like characters from other books, since everybody has their own idea about what the characters look like. I guess the saving grace here is the lack of freckles on one and curly hair on the other? XD

Purples just tend to generally be one of my favorite colors to use it seems. It works really nice with skin tones and white, so I tend to do whatever I can do to use it. XD That's probably a little lazy buuuut oh well.
