The frame here is gorgeous. I certainly love the fact that the model and the model's umbrella are the main focus of color - that is to say, you can see SOME color, but not much, and I wouldn't like it if it were solely black and white. It gives the feeling of spring meeting winter, even though it's probably (due to timing) summer saying goodbye.. Lovely job.

Thank you so much! It was a lot of playing around in photoshop. I was trying to teach myself to make pictures look vintage. This is what I got! I'm so glad you like it.

Of course! It's neat to know how things happened, and I definitely see what you were going for - it seems that with vintage photography the colors that stand out are the brightest ones, simply because color was, well, different "back then"

I really had a lot of fun. If you were to ask me to recreate what I did step by step, I would be unable. I can't remember what I did and unfortunately didn't save the photoshop file. But it was fun and the result was unique and I was pleased!
I recommend experimenting! It sets you apart because your result will be unique to you.
