Another pic finished... And this one was watched by some of my friends through Ustream. I've liked to color like this, because I have fun, talk, and get lots of suggestions through the chat.I want to thank to ~Saiyajin-Kanyon and *Zukuro who suggested the colors for the Ki, and *CeruleMagus for the colors on the clothing.
I know this "ki" isn't the best, but meh. I like it.
And... I think I'm slowly learning about this thing of coloring with this "lines".
I'll await for comments on it. *Activates the request critique thing*

Really nice that you coloured the lineart in almost the same colour as the base colour. I do that sometimes if I want the picture to look more like a painting and I want it all to float better together.

Sometimes it is good and this time it works for you. It looks a little like a photographic background, and I am normally against that. Here it works ot to your advantage, but I don't think you should mix live action photos with painting unless you want a very specific look. I think you want the lightsource to be on top, so he should be droping some sort of shade, besides flames are fire, and fire lights up an area. You could have been more aggressive with the lighting and made his skin reflect some of the orange from the flames near him. Also the sourroundings should be affected by the light that the fire would cast.
The anatomy does not look correct, his legs are not the same length, but the most visual part is the chest and his sixpac - His hips are facing towards the camera, but his upper torso is facing straight to the left. The twist looks unnatural since that sixpac stays to the left and does not meet with what's in between his legs, so I guess the twist is happening under his sixpac but above his hip...
I would give this an overall score of three stars out of five, the piece is very good with great colouring, but the shading is minimal and the anatomy seems wrong. The character design is awesome.

I was aware that the legs didn't match the torso... but I failed to correct that digitally. I have to fix it on the paper sketch in order to not screw it on the coloring... I guess I replied too much on the reference I found in a book... There, the legs looked like that... I think because of the prespective I didn't manage to catch pretty well.
About the lightning, I have to say that I've realized that I'm not aggresive with it... Maybe because I shade, and then add the background, so the whole thing gets screwed. I will try to do the other way... And yes, I know I have to start doing my own background. I promise to study more of them for this 2011!

This is *SUPER* *____* I love the coloured lines and his fighting pose and the way his hair is all spiked! ...Did I mention how I love his eyes? *-* You draw eyes so gorgeously! And the ki is *amazing*~ and I absolutely love the fact that his tail is curled around his waist.
